
The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has announced its call for entries for the
2011 Professional and Student Design Awards. The annual awards honor excellence in six categories: General Design; Residential Design, Analysis and Planning; Research, Communications; and The Landmark Award. The Research award is co-sponsored by the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture and The Landmark Award is co-sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The student awards program also features the Student Community Service Award and Student Collaboration.
The ASLA Annual Meeting and Expo will take place from October 30 – November 2, 2011 in San Diego.
A jury of distinguished landscape architecture professionals will convene to review submissions and to select award recipients. Award winners, their clients, and advisors will be honored at the annual meeting's awards presentation ceremony. The award winning projects will be featured in a video presentation at the ceremony and on the awards website following the event. In addition, professional award recipients will be featured in ASLA's prestigious Landscape Architecture magazine.
Entry forms and payment must be received by Friday, February 25, 2011, for Professional Awards and Friday, May 6, 2011, for Student Awards. Submission binders must be received by Friday, March 11, 2011, for Professional Awards and Friday, May 20, 2011, for Student Awards.
